ABOUT Sue Daignault, FFI, CCI

Captain, U.S Coast Guard, Retired

With a lifetime of angling experience and over 18 years as a fly fishing instructor, I will share my passion and love for the sport and the many details and skills you should have to be successful.

As a Fly Fishers International (FFI) Casting Instructor (CI), I follow the professional protocols and use the skills typically taught to bring any beginner or advanced fly fisher/caster to a competent level which will make him/her able to cast at least 40 feet in any conditions.

Use my instruction as a preparatory session before you hire a guide on your DREAM TRIP TO CATCH YOUR DREAM FISH. Most guides do not include instruction on how to cast competently and only hope you are ready to deal with the many environmental challenges and elements typically faced. Heavy rain, wind, sun and limited boat space are often a constraint on guided trips that any angler must be able to manage.

I love to work with anyone seeking to acquire skills in fly fishing/casting---and I fish coast-to-coast in the United States and in other countries as much as I can; from bonefish in the Bahamas, Belize permit, striped bass and landlocked salmon in Maine...to bull reds in Louisiana!
